What we are researching
The purpose of this study is to find out how effective and safe the study medicine is in helping people, who have excess body weight, lose weight.
Who may participate

Obesity
Have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher
Type 1 or 2 diabetes
Have not been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
Age
18 to 69 years

What to expect
If your study doctor determines that you are eligible and you decide to participate, you will be enrolled into the study.
Once enrolled, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the study medicine at one of four dose levels or placebo (which has no active medicine in it). All are given as injections under the skin, using an injection pen. Your study team will teach you how to use the injection pen.
Your participation is expected to last about 2 years and 10 months, with a mix of in-person and phone visits every 4 weeks. Visits may include physical exams, lab tests and questionnaires to monitor your health and safety.
